Boxing Fitness Classes

The Boxing Classes at Murphy's Boxing Gym are not your average “boxercise class”. Every class is run by a qualified instructor who is an actual boxing trainer. See opening hours and public class details below.

General opening hours

Murphy's Boxing Gym is open weekdays, Monday to Friday between 3.30 to 7.15pm. You can use the equipment (boxing bags, cross trainer, treadmill, weights) for your own training, or organise a personal training session (by appointment).

Heavy Duty Technical

This class runs weeknights, Monday to Friday, 5.00 to 7.00pm*. Open to all fitness levels, you will learn more advanced boxing techniques.

Note you can join at any stage of the two-hour class timeframe.

Morning classes

Held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 6.00 to 7.00am, these classes are a perfect way to start your day. All fitness levels welcome.

Lunchtime class

Every Friday 12noon to 1.00pm, this class is a great way to end the week. All fitness levels welcome.

Women's classes

Classes for women are held every Wednesday, 9.00 to 10.00am, and Friday, 8.00 to 9.00am. Learn the basics of boxing and get in shape. All fitness levels welcome.

Kids' classes

Run every Wednesday and Friday 4.00-5.00pm, are a great introduction for young people into the world of boxing techniques and fitness. Parents welcome to stay and watch the session.


The boxing studio is open every Saturdays between 11.30am to 1.00pm for general use. There are also two mixed group classes that start at 8.00am and 11.30am.
